Dancing flame in crimson black

Long ago
It seemed eternity
Days gone as if years they were
A rumor among the living
Whispers of a void
Meaningless life
Same old stories coming back and forth
But no one there to listen
Nobody was there when it happened
So many, many years before
Nobody lived enough
Except for, perhaps, me

Long nights I’ve wandered
Step by step on cold stone
Through a path
Never meant to walk across
As roads lead to the woods in winter
And the pure white snow turned black under my feet
The wind shrieking throughout the branches
Softened by dead dry leaves
And the rumor reaches me again

Turn my back and leave behind
The material dark I can almost hold in my frozen hands
And in my way I return to the lights
Return to the voices and the glittering youth that
Embraces the night in the city
In this dance macabre they repeat when weeks get to die
I walk by, not a sound from me, not a glance down to this world
I leave… I can’t
What might it be?
A flame of crimson and black enlightens it all
A light made of dark, made of lust, made of fear
It has tempted my eyes
I have to go and find this otherworldly light
And there it is

No blind eye can see
How fire engulfs this goddess
As she dances the way only heavenly beings can
And our eyes meet
She shines in black and crimson
As blood spins around me like a ribbon in the wind
Her eyes… she smiles… she’s lost

The party is over, the starless night pitch blacked
And yet her lips or fire glow in red an fear and lust
Her hand is soft, cold ivory
Her wrist pulses with life
Her waist is light as air
We float towards my lair

A sweet nervous smile
Her skin, her scent, pure charm
Her beating hear under her pale round chest
Her clothes sliding with my help
Trying to imitate nature itself when sculpted her
Now lying on my bed
My hands rubbing her thighs
A silent shiver through her back
Her voice strangled as I taste
Her hands now grasp my hair
And in silence rigid bones start to melt
While her cold skin turns to ember
And, all of a sudden, she embraces fire

No words left to say
Her sweet crystal eyes found mines
And a non-existing whisper used to call me close
So now we’re face to face
My skin and hers, fused
No sound but her breathing
And that of hissing silk below our bodies
Until she breaks
Her nails pierce deep my back
And a light never seen before reaches her eyes
And then I understand we’re one
And then she smiles to me
“I am not afraid” says in this embrace
As my lips get to her neck
And her blood spills over silk
She smiles to me as she dies
And she will soon be back

Oh! How long it’s been
Since I dreamed you
