And it was you

So pretty, so soft

That white skin of yours and your eyes

Those I can’t forget

So big, so deep, so warm

And you were crying

And I asked you why

And you said you were

About to die

And all you got was me

For nobody heard your cry

And having me there

Made you feel afraid

For once

I left you flee

From me.

Then I held your hand

And said you were right

For I let you go

Once

In a dark day of my life

That still casts a shadow

On today, but

As I held your hand,

I hugged you tender

And kissed your cheek

And then

The world vanished

Once again

Like in the old times did

And this time

I kept my word

I kept you by my side

And the world crumbled

And collapsed

And everything was gone

Except my hand holding yours

And the sound of a heart

Made of two.
